To install the IntelliPoint software, use one of the following methods.
Download from the Internet

To download and install the latest version of the IntelliPoint software, follow these steps:

Visit the following Microsoft Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware) |
| 2. |
On the left side of the screen, click Resources, and then click Download Software. |
| 3. |
Type Product Information, and then click GO. |
| 4. |
Click the software link to download the software. |
| 5. |
Click Run this program from its current location, and then click OK. |
| 6. |
Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to install the IntelliPoint software. |
| 7. |
Restart the computer. |
Install the software from the CD

To install the IntelliPoint software from the CD included with your pointing device:

Insert the Microsoft IntelliPoint Setup CD into your CD drive.
If IntelliPoint Setup does not start automatically, use one of the following methods:

For Windows Vista, follow these steps:

Click Start , click All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Run. |

In the Open box, type the following command line:
drive:\setupIn this example, drive is the drive letter for your CD drive. | |

For Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type the following line in the Open box, and then click OK:
drive:\setupIn this example, cd-rom is the drive letter for your CD drive. | |

Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to install the IntelliPoint software. |

Restart the computer. |
